Mail walkthrough
The console Mail page, tab by tab: overview, messages with a safe preview, SMTP servers, the queue and the settings of bx-mail.
What it shows
- The Mail page: In the Modules group of the menu.
- Overview: the tiles: Sent, failed, spooled, send time and failovers.
- One hour or 24 hours: The same numbers for a longer window.
- What needs attention: Judged by your own thresholds.
- The spool and the servers: A short summary of each.
- Messages: A list like a mail client.
- Search and filter: By subject, sender, recipient or state.
- Read it like the recipient: Pick a message to see its preview.
- Phone width and dark mode: Check it on a small screen.
- The preview is locked: No scripts, no remote images.
- Source, headers and parts: Every part of the message.
- Attachments: Name, type and size, never the bytes.
- Delivery attempts: Which server, how long, and the error.
- Copy it, or open the request: From a message back to the code that sent it.
- Servers: Attempts, failures and latency of each one.
- The queue: Send again or discard, for admins.
- Settings: The settings of bx-mail, read only.
- What is kept, and Free: Memory only, bounded, bodies are optional.
